Aubrey's First Birthday

Sweet Aubrey Christine turned {ONE}on June 7th and we went to San Antonio for her birthday party on June 9th.  Tiffany threw an adorable pink & zebra themed party!  I didn't get a picture of her cake, but it was so cute and there are just no words for Aubrey's outfit.  SO ca-ute!  The inflatable water slide was a huge hit!  Jackson & Emerson have been begging Aaron & me to get one since we got back!  We have such a great time with the Williams clan.

Miss Mallory was a trooper!  She kept getting kicked or knocked over by the bigger kids and she never cried once.

 Precious!

After the party, we went to see Nana & Mel.  The kids crashed in the car less than 3 mins after we left Tiff's and of course, their 20 minute car nap took the place of their usual 2-3 hour nap.

Nana & Mel had bought the kids some toys to play with at their house.  Here is Emme playing dress-up:

Nana & Mel were sweet enough to watch the kids while I went down to Market Square to pick up some stuff at El Mercado for Emme's Fiesta birthday party.  Thanks, guys!  After that, we went met Brennan & Megan to eat and the Williams' and Nana & Mel came too.  I didn't get any pictures, but this coming weekend everyone will be in for Emme's birthday party on Saturday and we are having family pictures made also on Sunday.  Fun weekend!

Happy Birthday, Aubrey!  We love you so much!

Water Fun

My kids LOVE the water - in any form!  Here are a few recent pics from the bath & swimming in Yaya's backyard.
 Silly boy!

Cute Cute!

Not sure if she is hugging him or trying to drown him...

They play so well together!  That doesn't mean we have no squabbles...we have plenty, but I am glad they have each other and are so close in age!

Spring Show

The kids annual Spring Show was on April 28th and the theme this year was Rock Through the Ages.  Emme's class sang & danced to Ain't No Mountain High Enough and Twist & Shout.  Jackson's class did Hand Jive & Rock Around the Clock and then because this is Jackson's last year before moving to a new school for Pre-K, they also did N'Sync's Bye Bye Bye.  It was SO FREAKIN' CUTE!  SO CUTE!

They make these little signs every year for the kids - we have a whole little collection of them from all the themes over the last 4 years.

This is neither child's class, but they did Michael Jackson songs & I just cracked up at the boys with the one white glove on - Hilarious!
Emme, of course was stoic at first but continued with the motions despite her sour puss!  Check the bell bottoms!  *eek!*

Jackson's class dressed 50's greaser style
And they did a little jitter buggin' - thought I was going to DIE of cuteness!

I'm so incredibly sad that this was Jackson's last Spring Show, but at least Emerson has one more year and I'm sure Jackson's Pre-K will do something adorable too!

CrAzY Hair Day

For the last week of school, every day has a different theme.  Crazy sock day, hat & sunglasses day, favorite sports team day and crazy hair day.  Jackson had this crazy blown & gelled-out halo of hair and Emerson had 5 or 6 pigtails that were all different - some were braided, some not fully pulled through (a puff), some regular, etc.  The kids were super excited about crazy hair day, but REFUSED to let me take a picture, hence the pictures below:

 Look at that pout!

Jackson ran from me & tried to hide.

Funny thing was Jackson & Emerson were the only ones in their classes that participated and Jackson was {MORTIFIED}!  He was hiding behind me, so I just told his teacher to comb his hair down.  Emme could have cared less that she was the only one.  That's our girl!

The Thursday before school got out, I took cupcakes to Emerson's class so they could celebrate her birthday that was actually still 2 weeks away.  She insisted on this Hello Kitty cupcake decorating kit.  She will have her real party on her actual birthday (June 16th), which falls on a Saturday this year!  I can't wait for it!
