ny and Hailey. Wendi and Mallory were there too - such a treat! Mallory is 4 weeks old and so tiny and sweet and precious! Dang if I didn't get any pictures! Next time. Then we headed to the hotel to get ready for dinner with Brennan and Megan. My brother and his girlfriend are finishing up law school at St. Mary's so this was another reason for our trip to SA. After a casual dinner, we headed to see the dinosaur exhibit at the Witte Museum. These were the mechanical type of dinosaurs like we had at the Houston Zoo also. Just as with at the zoo, Jackson was terrified! Terrified is actually an understatement! He was shaking when he saw the giant T-Rex outside the museum. He was so scared and he was screaming for Yaya to drive, drive! Just drive, Yaya! We finally convinced him to get out of the car so that we could go inside away from the T-Rex. The lady inside said the dino exhibit was more of the mechanical, but that there were some bones and that kind of thing in the main hall, so we decided to do that. We round the corner and there is a massive Triceratops (the dino Jackson had been pretending to be all night) and it's baby. Mechanical. Ugh! He again started crying and saying no, no! They are just so real to him. I've tried telling him all dinosaurs have died and these are just pretend or that they are just really big toys that can't even walk. It doesn't seem to make a difference. We rushed past and went through the rest of the museum, which was sort of lame. On the way back to the car, he was walking holding my mom's hand and as we approached the T-Rex, we looked down to see Jackson walking holding one hand over his eyes. Too funny! Poor little guy. Wednesday morning we went to Sea World. This was everyone's first time. How could I have lived in Houston for 28 years and never go to Sea World? It was nothing sort of amazing! We loved it! Jackson was CAPTIVATED by the whales and loved all the other animals too. We didn't even get to see half the park and we were there 5 hours. We can't wait to go back on Labor Day with the Aaron and my dad!
